Only [harmony series 17]
Composed and performed by Michael Pisaro

To quote from Pisaro's project proposal: "The focus is on the ambient (environmental) sounds, and occasional attempts to harmonize with and transform those sounds.  If the 360-degree experience of a sound environment is the equivalent to the atmosphere, this piece is an attempt to release a few molecules of something else (Xenon?) into that atmosphere, perhaps in the manner of Robert Barry's famous 'Inert Gas Series' (carried out mostly in Southern California in 1969)."    The piece will last 90 minutes or more.  You are welcome to bring a chair or blanket to sit on and any refreshments or picnic you would like.

Pisaro is a guitarist, composer and holds the Co-Chair of Music Composition/Experimental Sound Practices at Cal Arts.
